Traveling to Belizean Dreams Resort is Easy
Traveling to Belizean Dreams Resort is easier than ever with several direct flights from various international destinations.
When traveling from the United States, Mexico and Central America.
Entry Requirements to Belize
Visitors traveling to Belize must have a valid passport. Belize Tourism Board currently advises that passports be valid for at least 30 days after the date of arrival for travelers returning directly to their country of origin. If you are transiting through another country, that country may require your passport to have a longer validity period, so be sure to check the requirements for your complete itinerary.
Visitors should also travel with proof of onward or return travel and sufficient funds for their stay.
Traveling with Children: Children under 18 must have a valid passport and appropriate travel documentation. A child traveling with only one parent should carry a notarized letter of consent from the other parent authorizing the travel.
Visa requirements vary according to nationality and length of stay. Many travelers, including citizens of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and many Caribbean and Central American countries, do not require a visa for a tourist visit. Travelers who require a visa, or who plan an extended stay, should review the latest requirements directly with the Belize Immigration Department before traveling.
Belize also offers a free online arrival and departure immigration and customs declaration, which travelers can complete before their trip.
Entry and visa requirements are subject to change. For the most current information, please visit the Belize Tourism Site or Belize Immigration Department websites.
Flights & Resort Transfers
While our packages do not include international airfare, nor are we able to book those tickets for you, our all inclusive packages do include local transportation to the resort once you arrive in Belize City. All international flights to Belize land at the only International Airport in Belize, Phillip S. W. Goldson International Airport (Code: BZE). You will need to book your international flight to Belize directly through the airline or through an agent of your choice. During the booking process, we will collect your international flight details so our Reservations Team can coordinate your included roundtrip shared ground shuttle between Belize International Airport (BZE) and Belizean Dreams. Please submit your flight itinerary at least 30 days before arrival. The drive from the international airport is approximately 2 hours, depending on weather conditions. Kindly note that room only rates do not include local transfer to the resort.
To help you plan your trip to Belizean Dreams in Hopkins, please review the transportation information below for our included shared ground shuttle service between Philip Goldson International Airport (BZE) and Belizean Dreams Resort.
Arrival: Flying Into Belize
We operate two shared ground shuttle transfers from BZE to Belizean Dreams each day:
- 1:30 PM departure: Please plan to arrive at BZE by 12:30 PM. This shuttle arrives at the resort at approximately 3:30 PM.
- 4:00 PM departure: Please plan to arrive at BZE by 3:00 PM. This shuttle arrives at the resort at approximately 6:00 PM.
The 4:00 PM shuttle is the final included shared transfer of the day. When booking your international flight, please schedule your arrival into BZE for no later than 3:00 PM. Customs and immigration typically take approximately 45 to 60 minutes, so this allows time to clear the airport and be ready for the 4:00 PM shuttle.
If your flight arrives too late to make the final shared shuttle, alternative transportation options are available and can be arranged at an additional cost. Please contact us directly for details.
For your departure from Belize, we recommend booking an international flight departing BZE after 12:00 PM.
If you prefer to take a puddle jumper flight instead of the shared ground shuttle, please contact our Reservations Team for current pricing and availability.
How are transfers handled for group bookings?
Group bookings follow a coordinated transfer schedule. These reservations include shared round-trip ground transportation with one scheduled arrival time and one scheduled departure time for the group.
Our team will coordinate the transportation, luggage handling, and boat transfer to help everyone travel together and arrive at the resort as smoothly as possible.
Domestic Flight Upgrades
Guests who prefer to fly between Belize City and Hopkins, or whose international flight schedule does not work with our included shared ground shuttle, may have the option of taking a short domestic puddle jumper flight between Philip Goldson International Airport and Hopkins.
Domestic flights are not included in the standard shared ground transfer and are available for an additional fee.
Please contact our Reservation Team for current flight options, availability and pricing.

Driving Directions
Driving in Belize is relatively easy along the main highways, including the route to Hopkins. Belize drives on the right-hand side of the road, as in the United States.
The main highways are paved, but drivers should still be alert for speed bumps, changing road conditions, limited signage in some areas, and occasional one-lane bridges. If you plan to explore more remote areas, a four-wheel-drive vehicle may be helpful, although it is not necessary for the main route to Belizean Dreams.
Please bring a valid driver’s license and make sure your rental vehicle is properly insured. We also recommend avoiding unnecessary driving after dark, particularly in unfamiliar or rural areas.
If you prefer not to drive, Belizean Dreams vacation packages include shared ground transportation between Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) and the resort on your arrival and departure days. Read our Getting Here page for more information.
